We make yarns that are designed to complete the colorwork for the knitter. No changing yarns, no weaving in of many ends, no stressful color combinations to make, no purchasing of several yarns to need only a few yards. They’re great projects for those times you can only be only partially focused on your knitting, and also great projects for new knitters who would like something that looks more complicated than it really was!
We want you to be happy with your project! We will be happy to offer an exchange or refund if you so desire. Please contact us within 14 days of delivery to let us know you’d like to make a change and we can discuss options. Generally, unless there is a problem with the yarn, we will require that the yarn is in the original state so that we may be able to resell the project in the future.
Mindless Knits is not responsible for return/exchange shipping costs.
Our yarns are dyed to order, so we will need some time to get it ready for you! We do our best to ship within 14 days of purchase and will contact you if we expect there to be a delay.
Yarns will work well with different gauge. In fact, yarns will even work with other patterns within reason! Gauge becomes more important with smaller size in sweaters and with socks, but the patterns explain how to work around gauge issues if they should arise.
If you’ve chosen a pattern that requires more yarn than offered in our products, no problem! Just add “200 yards” to your cart and then specify in checkout which project you’d like to make larger. We will do our best to make the yarn continuous. Please make sure to purchase more than enough yarn for your project. As we dye by hand, a second purchase dyed on a different day will be unlikely to be an exact match.
You’re welcome to take a look through Mindless Knits’ favorites on Ravelry, which contain the patterns we believe would work relatively well with the yarn. Also keep a look out for inspiration from other knitters’ work using Mindless Knits yarns through Ravelry, Instagram and Facebook.
We here at Mindless Knits really hate weaving in ends, so we do our best to send you yarn without any knots or joins. However, even the bare yarn we receive has some joining as part of the production process. Please expect to see them from time to time.
As with any colored garment it is possible for there to be some bleeding of colors. As we make self-striping yarns, it’s a particular focus that we minimize this possibility, and we wash our yarns with a strong detergent and rinse repeatedly. However, it is our understanding that differences in water PH and temperature can result in some unfortunate surprises. Please be sure to wash in cold water with gentle wool wash when laundering and/or blocking your project. We have found that the yarn holds up well in the washing machine, but that some loss of vibrancy occurs if you choose to launder that way. Lay flat to dry.
